Roman De Salvo | Recent Work with Electrical Conduit
Quint Contemporary Art is pleased to announce an exhibition of new works by San Diego artist Roman de Salvo. The exhibition opens on July 3 and will continue through August 7, 2004. A public reception will be held on Saturday, July 3, from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. de Salvo’s fourth solo exhibition at Quint is titled “Recent Work with Electrical Conduit Art.” The exhibition includes work in his conduit series including a ceiling site-specific Power Maze, the primarily decorative Modular Macramé and the more formal Meters a take off from his previous Second Hand series.
Recently seen in the Baja to Vancouver exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego was Mr. de Salvo’s provocatively playful “Yesterquest” which is presently on exhibit at the Vancouver Art Museum in Vancouver, Canada. Artworks from this exhibition will travel to a site-specific installation at the Nevada Art Museum in Reno, Nevada in the Fall.
De Salvo’s installations and sculpture have been exhibited nationally and internationally. He was a participant in the 2000 Whitney Biennial and has been represented in San Diego/Tijuana’s inSITE in 1994 and 2000.
