Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair – returns with the 4th edition of the Fair September 6-9, 2012. Last year’s Fair received record attendance with over 8,000 collectors, curators, museum directors and art enthusiasts. Strong sales were reported by galleries and the event received extraordinary media attention, and has become one of the largest attended cultural events in San Diego.

Quint Contemporary Art is very pleased to present 17 new small monoprints by internationally acclaimed artist Mel Bochner. Considered one of the most important artists of his generation, Bochner’s work is included in The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum, The Metropolitan Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Wexner Center for the Arts, Smithsonian American Art Museum, MOCA Grand Avenue, and The Tate Gallery. Works will be on view in booth D8.

Also on view will be an installation by Keenan Hartsten. Presentation will be in booth C6.

The theme of ART SAN DIEGO 2012 is “NEW ART CITY”.  Now located in scenic Balboa Park, The Balboa Park Activity Center was designed by award-winning architect Rob Wellington Quigley. The 38,000 square-foot activity center represents the first new large construction project in Balboa Park since the 1960’s. The activity center joins a family of Balboa Park structures built for world expositions in 1915 and 1935. Beautiful landscaping, public art and spacious outdoor plazas at the north and south end of the building provide excellent sites for the fourth edition of ART SAN DIEGO.
